If your item is eligible for a return*, you can request one within 3 days of confirmed delivery. To initiate a return request, tap “Request Return” below and follow the prompts. You'll need to provide clearly detailed photos to support your claim:
- Show the entire item(s), not just part of it
- Highlight how it's not what you expected
- Photograph the packaging and full shipping label
- If applicable, show the serial number (electronics) or IMEI number (cellular devices)
Our Returns Team will investigate your claim and notify you of the outcome of your request.
You can cancel a return request at any time during this process.
Refunds may be issued in the original form of payment or Mercari Credit.
*An item is eligible for return if it’s:
- Not as it was described in the listing (condition, size, color, material, etc.)
- Potentially counterfeit
- A Prohibited Item
- Damaged
- Defective
- Not the right item
Except in cases where the seller and buyer have come to an agreement, an item cannot be returned because it doesn’t fit or has an odor if it was otherwise accurately described in the listing.
